ENYIH NELSON

Enyih Nelson has nurtured a deep passion for reaching out to the underprivileged and marginalized members of society, a calling that has been with him since his early postgraduate studies in law. His journey began as a social worker at Cameroon’s National Social Insurance Fund, where, spanning four years from 2006 to 2010, he dedicated himself to serving retirees, victims of work-related accidents, and families in need of maternity and related social security support.

Subsequently, Enyih transitioned into a role within the judiciary, following successful training at the prestigious National School of Administration and Magistracy. From 2014 to 2017, he served as a State Prosecutor in the Mbam and Inoubou Administrative Division, which housed a Court of First Instance and a High Court. In this capacity, he shouldered the responsibility of overseeing criminal investigations, prosecuting suspects, and ensuring the just application of the law. This role allowed him to act as a guardian of justice, ensuring that the rights of all citizens, especially the vulnerable, were protected in the eyes of the law.

Since May 2017, Enyih has assumed dual roles as a judge in the Mundemba Court of First Instance and the Ndian High Court. As a peacemaker within the confines of his chambers and bound by his service oath, he continues to uphold the principles of equality before the law, ensuring that every citizen is treated with fairness and justice. Notably, his office has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of young, vulnerable citizens through legal proceedings involving custody disputes, adoption, rehabilitation of young offenders, and more.

Enyih Nelson’s unwavering commitment to justice and his profound dedication to the welfare of the underprivileged make him a valuable member of the NDES Foundation’s Board of Trustees, where he continues to champion the cause of the needy and marginalized within society.
