NDES Foundation delivered solar hand-truck to women in Konye village of Cameroon

29 July – The NDES Foundation has delivered solar hand-trucks to women in the village of Konye, Cameroon to provide them with a secondary source of income. In addition to allowing them to bring more of their harvest to market, the trucks act as much-needed charging stations keeping individuals and communities connected particularly during long periods of a power outage that can often last up to five days. The village is already seeing significant benefits with each solar hand-truck supporting the re-charging needs of some 1000 people. Based on the impact these trucks are having on families and the broader community, NDES has committed to deliver ten more trucks to the same region before the end of the year.
